One of my dream vehicles is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! across the state at a deep discount. It's almost exactly the vehicle I spec every time I visit BMW's site. Why do I even look for things like this, though, when I know I'm not even close to being able to afford it, and won't for years to come? What's the draw of going on listing websites only to find the exact model we want for sale ten states over for double the cash we can throw together?

This must be why some of my friends think car guys are crazy.

I do the same thing, whether or not I'm in the market for a car. But all the practice helps when I actually am in the market for a car.

I suspect it's for the same reason that people spend hours on realtor.com looking at houses they can't hope to afford.

Dude, I have the same problem and BMW of the Main Line are some good folks. I bought my Mini from them back in '04. And I also helped a client get a great E91 from them recently.

You might need to seek professional help. I have also looked at pinterest, but CL is more fun for me.

Probably for a small chuckle for whoever put up the listing.

They're not so good as to let me drive away with that on just a traded in manual Dart, are they?

Looks like I found my motivation for a Powerball ticket.

This is far cheaper than new, even with so few miles. New MSRP is somewhere near $53k.

I just did some searching and in Quebec right now a '14 touring with m sport and 6000 miles goes for 60k, this one for 56k http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Series… , 44k gets you this http://www.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/3+Series…

*note to self, buy your next car south of the border*

My girlfriend does the same thing with Trulia (a real estate site), only the no-basis-in-reality factor is even more ridiculous. Oh, that house up the street is ONLY $690,000? Sure, I'll take two! I really wish she'd stop emailing me links lol.

Anyway, you want me to go test drive that thing for you? I'm about 15 minutes away from that car. =)

(PS - You can buy an E90 M3 for less than that wagon. Just sayin')

Augh, if you test drive it and tell me it's great I'll commit financial blunders so huge Jalopnik might report on them.

I also know about the M3s. I prefer the wagon.

Of course it's great! I've driven the F30 328i (not the wagon) and it's a fun car for sure. BUT you should definitely not buy it because it doesn't have the M-sport package. I am partial to that color combo, however, because my E92 335i was black sapphire metallic and saddle brown. I got so many compliments on the interior. I think people liked it as much as the fox red in my E90...maybe even more!

I am confused by your preference of the wagon over an M3 sedan, unless it has something to do with utility. Perhaps you frequently transport large dogs or multiple mini-fridges? A 414hp v8 for less money than a turbo 4cyl is usually a pretty well received proposition =P

You're not the first to be confused, I've posted somewhere on Oppo before that I'd rather have a plain FIAT 500 than an Abarth.

My preference for the F31 over the E90 M3 is practical. I already have a sedan that would do everything the M3 would on public roads (I don't hoon on non-closed roads, rarely track, and prefer to slot in behind slow traffic getting off the highway than pedal down and accelerate in front of them), with bonus cheaper maintenance. The F31 would be for those times when I need more cargo space, which happens surprisingly frequently. Also, AWD.
